General Information

This web page was designed as a teaching and guidance tool for the convenience of students enrolled in Accounting Information Systems - Acctg 4030 or AC 641. From this page, you can access course materials including the syllabus and the daily schedule of assignments.

From the syllabus and daily schedule, you may also access information about group projects and chapter outlines. The chapter outlines are modified versions of the outlines provided by the publisher, Addison Wesley which are distributable for teaching purposes.

Course Description

This course emphasizes the application of information systems knowledge to the accounting environment. Specifically, students are exposed to the analysis, design and evaluation of accounting information systems with an emphasis on transaction processing and the related internal accounting controls for the major accounting cycles particularly in the computer environment.
