Courses I've taught include Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence (with emphasis on video games), and Computer Science I and II.
I also teach Digital Media Programming that combines hands-on use of graphics software such as PhotoShop with writing our own code to create similar graphics and animation effects.
My general research interests are in computer graphics, animation, and artificial intelligence. My current research explores methods to combine automated knowledge of cinematography and virtual cameras with human creativity. Applications include computer-generated cinematography, training software with animated explanations, and 3D computer games.
I welcome the participation of undergraduates who are interested in projects in computer graphics, computer animation, cinematography, game design, programming, or development, and related fields that combine the arts and computing technology.
I help maintain our departmental lab which features 10 Dell workstations and Apple Mac Minis workstations, and graphics development software.
